I have added a little about notifications to the developer's section of the Project.net OS Community Wiki ( http://dev.project.net/trac/pnet-community/wiki/Development ) but I am sure this is not enough for you. I will see if I can get the internal specifications posted this week. In the meantime, I would generate the Java Doc and take a look at that.
